Tavia, this haiku collection is lovely: a celebration of spring, family, and nature. There are so many strong images. I think my favorite might be the snowstorm of cherry blossoms.
I love all your haiku, especially the one about nodding off in church and floating on a scripture sea. The one about the moon echoes my own feeling of her being a faithful friend. And the owl poem is delightful, both the surprise "Two" at the end and the way the end words echo sound of the owl's cry: "two, hoot, two".
I can’t even stand how much I LOVE your haiku. You have a unique way of doing line breaks! And you capture the essence of each moment. And what this season of your life is about. And your loves. Thank you so much.
“Nodding off in church
floating on a scripture sea
count it as a prayer”
—I love this 💛. It was great to meet you today.
